SINGLETON NEIGHBOURHOOD CENTRE
The Opendoor@SNC is a project which will provide support for those who are suffering hardship in our community.
This includes daily living facilities of a bathroom, toilet and laundry for use by community members and the provision of a kitchen to allow the Singleton Neighbourhood Centre to educate people in safe food handling in the home and economic meal preparation.
The facilities will operate only in the Centre’s opening hours when trained staff are present.
Provision of these services will help residents of Singleton to maintain and build their own resources and independence, to help them manage their lives in a more positive and empowering way, to help overcome disadvantage and allow the Neighbourhood Centre to develop and implement a wider range of programs and social support for the community.
With the help of the riders, sponsors, and local businesses, we managed to raise $11,000 for the Singleton Neighbourhood Centre!
The $11,000 went towards their Open Door Project (aka “the Shed”) to help those in Singleton struggling from financial hardship. You wouldn’t believe the amount of people this helps in our little town.
